The Chatham Education Alliance is launching the Chatham Literacy Moonshot with the goal of having 95% of 3rd graders reading at grade level.  It is a partnership with the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS), local business, nonprofit, and faith-based communities. The initiative has a five-year, comprehensive strategy focused on eliminating the third-grade reading gap.  By aligning community partners around shared goals and measurable outcomes, Moonshot aims to ensure every child achieves foundational reading skills critical for long-term academic success and a productive , fulfilling life.
