Parent Literacy Project
The 2026–27 Parent Literacy Project, a family support initiative of the Chatham Literacy Moonshot, is designed to support parents and caregivers in strengthening their own literacy skills while building practical strategies to support their child’s reading and learning at home.
Participants receive individualized support from a dedicated tutor through twice-weekly virtual sessions in a welcoming and encouraging environment. The program provides opportunities to:

The team is starting up a Parent Literacy Pilot, running workgroups to learn what families genuinely need, and building a shared needs-assessment tool. Hence, the county's many helpers stop working blind and start working from one page.
