Become a Literacy Champion

95 in 5 needs 950 community champions by 03/16/27
Five years from now, we want 95% of third graders reading at grade level. To get there, we need hundreds of adults committed to making literacy the defining issue of our community.
An excellent public school system requires citizens who are informed, engaged, and willing to advocate for children.
This citizen involvement builds a culture of public school excellence. How do we create sustained community ownership and accountability to achieve this?
Through Literacy Champions

A Moonshot Literacy Champion commits to:
Stay informed about literacy progress in Chatham County
Receive monthly updates and action opportunities
Take at least one civic action each month supporting literacy
Encourage others to join the movement
Public education improves when citizens stay engaged between elections.
The Moonshot Literacy Champions will help ensure that literacy remains a community priority by celebrating progress, asking informed questions, and encouraging continuous improvement.
